Food - great food selections, charcoal chicken is moist and flavourful. Gravy makes it taste better. Great selections of salad and would recommend the seafood. Portuguese tasted great as well, though i asked for the spicy sauce but i felt like it was not spicy at all. Souvlaki is also good. Service - can get crowded sometimes but staff were friendly and warm. They work like a well oiled machine. Atmosphere - small place not really ideal for dine in since you have to stand and if you do people will get in your way while they order.

I really recommend this place to all travelers staying overnight in a airport hotel. The food is delicious!! Tasty chicken, good sides and so many yummy salads. The service was really nice and friendly as well!

Disappointed with the chicken. It tastes just like the Coles/Woolworths roast chicken in sales hours, dry and tasteless. making me suspect it is entirely different thing to what are displayed on the charcoal bar. Waste of money.

Very disappointed, been coming here for 30 years asked for extra gravy on my chips paid for extra and practically got none at all. Definitely won’t be going there again. The old owners were so much better and generous with the gravy. Not happy.

The best chicken shop around mascot, much better than the ones up by the new Woolworths precinct. Great size portions, plenty of gravy etc Lovely People working there too.

I remember when this place used to stuff the rolls so much you could barely fit it in your mouth. Shame to see they’ve stuffed chicken rolls less now :(

First time ordering from Mascot Charcoal Chicken for lunch. I ordered the charcoal pack and went with the chicken caesar salad. A chicken caesar salad is a staple food when ordering from any charcoal chicken shop and separates the good from the great. Greatly disappointed as I wasted no time chomping down on the chicken caesar salad only to find an actual staple in my mouth. Wish I went for the seafood salad instead. The charcoal pack otherwise was delicious, and I enjoyed eating it but this was ruined by finding a staple in the chicken caesar salad, which is unexpected and unacceptable.

Since moving to Melbourne, Mascot Charcoal Chickens is the one place I have missed the most. Seems impossible to get a decent chicken roll south of the border. It was so nice coming back here to see they still have the same great taste.
